Abstract: In the current study, the perennial fluctuation of river flow in the Republic of Kazakhstan is considered. Flood or shortage of the waters in rivers can cause critical damages and environmental problems, so in this paper, internet of things technology is used to screen river behaviour. This article outlines the hardware development of an IoT system in spatial-temporal regularities of distribution of river flow in Kazakhstan. The perennial dynamics of local river flow in Kazakhstan were analysed. The influence of climatic factors on the fluctuation of river flow is revealed. Based on the geographical system analysis of the complex of zonal-azonal factors (variety of landforms, air temperature and atmospheric precipitation), based primarily on orographic conditions, river location conditions, reflecting the main flow-forming factors, such as the influence of atmospheric circulation on the formation of water resources, the regularities of flow fluctuations are considered for macroregions of Kazakhstan.
