Abstract: It is important to obtain information regarding the ability of concrete structures to perform its intended function considering the inevitable aging and degradation resulting from operational environments. This study aims to serve as a benchmark for a series of research projects to thoroughly investigate the effect of temperature on the performance of concrete. The study compares the physical and mechanical properties between identical concrete samples subjected to various loads and placed in different environmental conditions at service. In this study, several concrete samples were prepared and tested within a laboratory-controlled environment and in real conditions where they were subjected to seasonal environmental conditions. The samples, placed outside of the laboratory in real conditions, were subjected to both Hurricane Laura and Delta that hit Southwest Louisiana in 2020. From the results of this experiment, it was possible to quantify the level of deteriorations of different tested samples.
