Title: Role of university libraries in Sustainable Development Goals realisation

Abstract: As enunciated by UN 2030 Agenda, with 17 core goals, it has been accentuated to eradicate poverty and to protect our planet by conserving national and environmental resources for the future generation by achieving sustainable development worldwide. On 25th September 2015, unanimously accepted by all over the world to accomplish the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with common opinion that the world must have awareness, knowledge and willing to contribute with a positive frame of mind. For any countries to prosper and progress, one must require updated and relevant information on health, education, food security, environment, gender equality etc. Thus, libraries can play a pivotal role by offering access to information with new ICT assistance for use and visibly conservation of resources that encourages realisation of SDGs. This paper depicts prominence of university libraries and to evaluate the level of awareness, knowledge and attitude towards the attainment of the SDGs globally.
