Abstract: Our article revolves around the theme of the establishment of product lifecycle management within the zellige sector. So, we try to follow a three step approach. Firstly, we aim to identify the problem where technology can intervene, namely the cutting problem. Secondly, we propose an algorithm to solve it. Thirdly, we transform this algorithm into software that will play the role of PLM within the zellige sector. Thus, the software will help the customer to choose a decoration and he must provide the surface S to decorate in m2. After this, the software tries to filter the shapes making up the decoration chosen and finally it will present the combinations between the shapes of the same colour. The results are the number of tiles that must be produced following the combinations proposed according to the surface presented and the number of shapes that must be added to the stock.
