Abstract: In order to reveal the internal law of the influence of carbon fibre content on the performance of automotive brake friction materials, the paper designed the analysis experiment of the influence of different carbon fibre content on the performance of automotive brake friction materials. Firstly, the raw material of automobile brake friction material is selected. Then, automobile brake friction material specimens with different carbon fibre content were prepared. Finally, the characteristics of multiple friction properties of automotive brake friction materials are calculated. The results show that the mass wear rate is the most stable when the content of carbon fibre is 4%. The friction coefficient is in the order of carbon content 4% > 6% > 2% > 0%. The microstructure and properties of the materials showed a trend of greater wear at first, decreasing and finally increasing, and the wear degree of 4% carbon fibre was small.
