Abstract: The aim of this research endeavour is to harness the power of modelling, simulation, and analysis techniques to discern the neutron profile and distribution within a shutter. This critical information will prove pivotal in the successful installation of the state-of-the-art Neutron Activation Analysis Technique by Gamma Prompts (PGAA), and in the subsequent augmentation of the analytical capabilities of the esteemed National Energy Centre of Nuclear Science and Technology (CNESTEN) in the realm of material characterisation for diverse applications. The results of this comprehensive study unequivocally showcase an unwavering level of assurance in the safety of the installation.

Keywords: PGAA; neutron flux spectrum; simulation; MCNP; neutron activation analysis.
