Abstract: The physical and psychological health of individuals working in the IT sector is adversely affected due to their hectic and stressful working schedules. Hence, the prime importance of the management is to understand the factors affecting physical health, mental wellbeing and satisfaction of employees and also enhance their satisfaction at the workplace. The present study focuses on the job satisfaction of employees working in the IT sector and its effect on organisation effectiveness. For this empirical study, data of 581 respondents from different IT companies in the capital region of India were analysed to assess the impact of job satisfaction on the organisational effectiveness. Working conditions, relation with supervisor and colleagues, organisation of work, career advancement, and decision-making enhances satisfaction of employees and satisfied employees contribute to organisational effectiveness.
