Abstract: The study identified and analysed key technologies enabling additive manufacturing (AM) and Industry 4.0 integration for small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs). Based on an extensive literature survey, 11 key Industry 4.0 technologies influencing AM implementation in SMEs were identified; followed by applying multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method to rank technologies in the order of their importance. Based on the study, it is found that internet of things (IoT), cloud computing, cyber physical system (CPS) are the top three technologies which help SMEs to enable AM and Industry 4.0 integration. COPRAS, a MCDM method was used to rank technologies in the order of their importance. The outcome of this study enable decision makers to focus on top ranked technologies, which set a foundation for successful integration of AM and Industry 4.0 for SMEs across automotive industries.
