Title: MCDM-based analysis of factors affecting core functional competencies in Indian manufacturing industry

Abstract: Presently manufacturing industry in India is facing healthy competition especially with giants in this field. To compete and to perform better in the market most of the companies are adopting core functional competencies. This paper deals with qualitative analysis of data using various multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques. Using questionnaire survey data was collected and different factors had been finalised. From the analysis results, those factors were found which have major and minor affect on the company's performance and competitiveness. Based on their affects and priorities, rankings have been given.
