Abstract: Meniscus is also called fibrocartilage plate. Each knee joint has two meniscus, which is divided into medial and lateral meniscus. The outer edge of the meniscus is thick and the inner edge is thin, which is the secondary stable structure of the knee joint. It has the functions of transferring load, absorbing shock, limiting excessive flexion and extension of joints, and nourishing joints. Meniscus injuries are more common in young adults, mostly male. Sports injury is the main cause of knee meniscus injury. After meniscus injury, it not only causes mechanical blockage of joints, but also presents typical clinical manifestations and joint dysfunction, which has a great impact on patients' work and life, and even leads to the end of athletes' career. At present, nano materials have made new progress. With the increasing application of nanotechnology in the repair of cartilage injury, a new way has been opened up for the repair of meniscus. The damage of meniscus was repaired with nano materials. The research showed that the effectiveness of nano materials in repairing and treating damage had increased by 8.22%. Nanomaterials have played a great role in the repair of meniscus damage, and promoted the development of medicine.
