Abstract: This paper deals with a reverse logistics (RL) inventory model for deteriorating items after COVID-19 pandemic. Non-instantaneous deteriorating items are considered with hybrid type demand. In this paper, we have applied preservation technology to control the deterioration of the products under the impact of inflation and learning. Further, carbon emission cost is applied due to carbon emission in manufacturing and re-manufacturing process. The main aim of this paper is to find the optimal value of the total cost for logistic inventory model. At last, numerical and sensitivity analysis was carried out using Mathematica-11.1 software.

Keywords: COVID-19; inflation; deteriorating items; hybrid type demand; reverse logistics.
