Abstract: Financial literacy is a key predictor of investment. However, a thorough scientific mapping of financial literacy and investment has not been attempted before. Therefore, in this study, we performed bibliometric analysis using VOS Viewer (van Eck and Waltman, 2010) and an R-language programme called bibliometrix (Aria and Cuccurullo, 2017) to dissect the intellectual and conceptual framework of the literature in this domain. Our findings indicated that the topic has intrigued scholars for the last 15 years, probably because of issues like global financial crisis and COVID-19. Gradually, this field became multidisciplinary, covering areas such as psychology, public economics, etc. The research themes, current trends, and potential areas of future research were highlighted. Our study will help policymakers understand the existing literature in this domain and help them plan their work accordingly. This study will help researchers identify future research opportunities on this topic by understanding influential papers, authors, and journals.
