Abstract: In aluminium welding, the effect of inputs on the outputs and the effect of intertwine between them has led to many problems in controlling the aluminium welding process by GMAW. For this purpose, this article uses a static decoupling method. For this purpose, control over the width of the welding wire and the feeding speed of the welding wire is performed using the PID controller. Considering two-input and two-output in pulsed GMAW process of aluminium, the steps required to design a conventional multi-loop PID controller are presented. PID is designed according to various algorithms such as IMC and Ziegler Nichols and optimal criteria and decoupled loops. We also use Smith's predictive control. Then, we design the MPC control for the gas metal arc welding (GMAW) process. Using static decoration maker, the effect of action between inputs and outputs is significantly reduced, and the optimal output is achieved.
