Abstract: In this work, an efficient bridge DC-DC converter is described for vehicular applications. By utilising the auxiliary circuit of the bridge DC-DC converter, zero voltage switching (ZVS) for active switches can be achieved. A modified pulse width modulation (MPWM) is used for switching. The proposed work is compared with the conventionally used PWM technique. The auxiliary and the inductance values of the bridge DC converter are reduced. The detailed simulation and test results described the converter's functional aspects. A hardware setup of 540 W at 80 kHz has been described to verify the simulation result. A DSP controller board (TMS320F28379D) is used to generate the real-time gating signals.
