Abstract: The study intends to describe positive and negative valences affecting the continued use of mobile payments (m-payment) in India and analyses the moderating effect of age on these parameters. A total of 357 m-payment users were surveyed in India in this study. SEM was employed to validate the proposed framework. The study reveals trust, security, innovation, ease of use, satisfaction, risk, and facilitating conditions have a significant influence on the continued use of mobile-based services. The individual factor experience was noticed to have a substantial impact on the continued intent and also on the predictor independent variables. The study proposes an inclusive model based on the technology affordance and constraints theory (TACT) to extend the valence theory. The findings could be extremely beneficial for mobile service providers and financial institutions in context to segmentation, targeting, and strategic planning due to its innovative value and relevance.
