Abstract: The spatial pattern of traditional villages in Indonesia has now been affected by the flow of globalisation. However, traditional villages in Bali can maintain their identity. This research focused on finding a relation between creating an imaginary space with religious ritual activities in the traditional Balinese village of Aga Tenganan Pegringsingan. The data collected includes the sacred function of space, the origin, and spatial systems. The method used exploratory description with an ethnographic design and content analysis. This study confirms that the mass-space pattern is built due to a close relationship with the traditional ritual activities of the community and their belief in myths, legends, and folklore. This pattern can be seen from the routes of movement of traditional-religious ceremonial activities, open spaces that become special religious places, road corridors (Awangan), sacred buildings (temple). Then there is a traditional building (hall) with a circular motion that relates time, space, and activity.
