Abstract: Multimedia technology has become a necessity as an effort to develop and cultivate education especially in Malaysia. However, the learning process that focuses on the classroom and relying solely on textbooks no longer helping students to further develop their ideas and imagine something to learn especially in mathematics. This study aims to test the effectiveness of interactive courseware as a teaching tool in the fraction topic for year four mathematics subject. This interactive courseware was developed using Microsoft PowerPoint software to generate a greater understanding of the students' thinking. Pre experimental research was steered on the group with pre-test and post-test conducted on 40 year four students from two schools in Segamat district for four weeks. The result shows that there were significant achievement differences after students used this interactive courseware. This interactive courseware is expected to help improve student performance and tortuously add a collection of teaching aids material.
