Abstract: Recently, environmental issues in the hospitality sector have gained more attention. This study identifies and selects the most relevant energy conservation and carbon reduction (ECCR) indicators for the hospitality industry. The ECCR indicators' interrelationships and priorities assess using an integrated interpretive structural modelling - analytical network process (ISM-ANP) technique. The findings show that the effectiveness of ECCR procedures is primarily determined by indicators such as top management support through delegating responsibility to department heads, energy, water conservation, measurement techniques, and communication with employees. The use of relevant indicators can assist specified hotel operators in working more efficiently in the environmental conservation sector and gaining a competitive advantage. The framework can further help other hotel operators and managers to solve decision-making problems in selecting the right ECCR indicators.
