Abstract: This study's objective is to examine how prospective employees' (university students) perceptions of organisations that practice green human resource management may influence their future green behaviour on the job. This study was conducted with the social identity theory and the ability-motivation-opportunity theory as its theoretical foundations. Students from the largest university in North Cyprus comprised the study's sample, for which 400 questionnaires were distributed and 340 valid responses were received. Using multiple regression analyses, the research hypotheses were tested. The results showed how green human resource management practices have a significant impact on employees perceived environmental behaviours, while the moderation analysis revealed that environmental transformational leadership strengthens this influence. This study provides organisations with a novel comprehension and strategy for enhancing their green behaviour through green human resource management and environmental transformational leadership.
