Abstract: This paper explores small, high-income economies' shared challenges in enhancing their domestic food production capabilities, notably Brunei Darussalam, Qatar, and Singapore. Furthermore, it explores the advancements of fourth industrial revolution (4IR) technologies within their agricultural sectors to mitigate food security concerns. This paper employs a five-step systematic literature review method to delve into the food security realm in the chosen small, high-income economies. These prosperous nations grapple with unfavourable agricultural conditions of limited land area and harsh climates, leading to a reliance on diversified imports to meet the growing food demand. While Singapore leads in modernising domestic production, Brunei is making moderate progress, and Qatar is in its nascent stages. Nevertheless, all three countries demonstrate significant progress towards self-sufficiency and resilience amidst global uncertainties. This paper adopts a comparative case study approach to examine the similarities and differences among these three economies facing common agricultural constraints.
