Abstract: The paper examines relationships between enterprise development and major industries, and the national economic growth of Kazakhstan by applying linear regression analysis to the ten-year time series data. Following the study results, the authors discuss various reasons for the contemporary enterprise development and major industries in the region, such as small business sector, information technology and telecommunications, and international trade sectors. The authors explore the implications for sustaining national economic growth and national competitive strategies, especially those concerning enterprise development and industrial policy.
