Abstract: The information epoch has caused substantial changes in modern management approaches. Different emphasis is placed on leadership aspect as a distinction between business failure and success. This change has compelled the change in the management function from a mechanical exercise of planning towards an intricate system of training, motivation and retaining human capital in a business. This study analyses the correlation between problems experienced by ethnic entrepreneurs and their marketing and managerial skills. The findings confirm that ethnic entrepreneurs are in need of support services, such as training, counselling and financial assistance.
