Title: Liberalisation of the railway industry in Europe: toward a sustainable system through process view

Abstract: In this research, the target is to tackle the evolutional development of the railway segment. The objective is to shed a light on the transformation schemes in Europe so that it would be possible for countries to set up better policies to manage their efforts. In overall, it can be claimed that the ability of governments to leverage lean strategies is the key. In addition, it is essential to impose regulatory measures to be able to control the efficiency of consolidation procedures of core service providers. Stimulating competition is the hardest issue for Poland and Hungary.
