Abstract: This article aims to discuss the effectiveness and efficiency of education systems, with a particular focus on the Gulf region. Despite long-standing research interest in the area of education and curriculum planning, unsatisfactory implementations continue to be encountered in practice. This article reviews some of the problems facing education management and proposes a web-based solution to overcome such problems as part of continuous research in information systems| design with a particular focus on education management systems. It applies the recent advances affecting supply chain management to education management particularly in terms of the use of information and communication technology, focusing on processes, interactivity and dynamicity dimensions. The article concludes with some of the benefits of the proposed system as well as expected challenges that may be encountered in implementation.
