Abstract: This paper presents a method of users| needs assessment in order to estimate future need by the investigation of an existing need through a questionnaire, and presents the results of its application to a colour television set case study. The proposed method is designed on the basis of the ||stimulus-response model||, ||product characteristics|| and factor analysis. The results allow us to identify some effective factors of users| needs and important dynamic changes that indicate the trend of the users| needs.
