Abstract: The authors present an analysis of the effect of chemical composition in aluminium bronzes on the fatigue strength in seawater. Selected Wohler curves (S-N diagrams) are presented as well as the results of the mathematical analysis in the form of multidimensional regression equations illustrating the dependence of the mechanical properties upon chemical composition.
