Abstract: Evaluation of the changes in physico-chemical properties of soils and crops grown with pulp and paper mill wastewater in field lysimeters were carried out for three years at the Integrated Pulp and Paper Mill, Madhya Pradesh (India). Treated wastewater evaluated for crop irrigation belonged to the irrigation water class |Moderate to Severe Restriction on use|. Application of wastewater showed the increase in water holding capacity, pH, electrical conductivity, organic carbon and plants nutrient contents (nitrogen, phosphorus and potash) of soils. Wastewater irrigation did not affect germination while grain and straw yields of jowar (Sorghum vulgare), wheat (Triticum aestivum) and moong (Vigna radiata).
