Abstract: This study presents a Chaos-Based Pseudo Random Number Generator (CPRNG) hardware to generate the chaotic bit-sequence. To improve the generated bit-sequence of the chaotic equation, the results of the CPRNG pass through a filter. This approach generates a bit-sequence with greater variation than the original chaotic equation. The proposed approach uses a 32-bit fixed point arithmetic to implement a Filter Chaos-Based Pseudo Random Number Generator (FCPRNG) that can generate a 32-bit random number, and an Encryption Engine Unit (EEU) or Decryption Engine Unit (DEU) uses 2 bits of the random sequence to encrypt a fixed length of the multimedia data.
