Abstract: Organisations must coordinate the value creation (demand chain) and the value delivery (supply chain) processes in order to survive in today's competitive market environment. The need to coordinate these processes is well known but not much is known on how the coordination can be achieved. The purpose of this research is to develop a framework for demand chain and supply chain coordination. The framework has been developed based on a literature review and is illustrated through a case study. The framework combines multiple research streams and provides a method for decision-makers to estimate different coordination possibilities.
