Abstract: Several studies have been done on challenges of performance measurement. One of these challenges is the delay in the performance measurement processes. The scope and extend of the supply chain and tendency towards managing its entities independently increase this delay. Some scholars have suggested that automating the performance measurement processes solve this problem, but less attention has been paid to implementation of the framework suggested by an appropriate information system for automated collecting and assessing of the measures values. Considering the capabilities of the multi-agent systems against performance measurement challenges in a supply chain scale through the automated execution of business rules, the authors have identified, classified and then converted the performance measurement rules to an applicable form in multi-agent systems. Here we have employed some innovative methodologies of multi-agent systems development to create an automated supply chain performance measurement multi-agent system.
