Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the steady state performance of a proposed connection of permanent capacitor motor (PCM) for dual voltage operation. The performance of the proposed connection is compared with the performance of the normal motor connection. The proposed connection has been tested using a dynamometer to experimentally verify the results of the theory and simulation results. Good agreement between the simulated and the experimental results has been obtained.
