Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to observe the critiques of international joint venture and to highlight the bone of contention and some other issues in joint ventures working in the field of two-wheeler manufacturing in India. The information regarding the joint ventures in two-wheeler manufacturers in India has been collected through various sources such as literature, news articles, published interviews and other secondary sources. The case companies considered in this paper are: Hero-Honda Motors Limited, TVS-Suzuki, Escort-Yamaha, Kinetic-Honda and LML-Piaggio. The findings may be very useful for the managers to manage the relationship between the venture partners. The reasons for conflict between venture partners have been highlighted through some cases of breaking of joint ventures and finally some suggestions for successful joint ventures have been proposed.
