Intelligent control systems are very useful when no mathematical model is available a priori and intelligent control develops a system to be controlled. Intelligent control describes a class of control techniques that use various artificial intelligence techniques such as neural network control, fuzzy logic control, neuro-fuzzy control, expert systems, genetic control, evolutionary algorithms, multi-sensor integration, failure diagnosis, reconfigurable control and swarm algorithms.

This special issue will focus upon theory, modelling and applications of intelligent control systems for robotic applications. We especially welcome research manuscripts focusing on the latest research problems, control methodologies and applications of robotic intelligent control systems.

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and if appropriate written permissions have been obtained from any copyright holders of the original paper).

All papers are refereed through a peer review process.
