ISCEG 2020: Special Issue on: "Recent Advances of Construction and Building Materials"

The civil engineering industry is a pillar industry for the development of the national economy. With the development of society and science and technology, the scale, function, shape and construction technology of civil engineering buildings are developing in the direction of large-scale, complex, diversified, and informatization. Therefore, it’s the inevitable trend of the future development of civil engineering to study new processes, new technologies and new materials.

Geosynthetics materials are regarded internationally as the "fourth largest building material" after steel, cement, and wood. It is an indispensable new type of geotechnical engineering material in the construction of social infrastructure, which have been widely applied in Water conservancy, electric power, construction, seaport, mining, military industry, environmental protection and other national economic construction areas.

In recent years, with the promotion of the rapid development of infrastructure construction in China and the Belt and Road initiative, Civil Engineering construction faces many key problems, while the research and application of geosynthetics materials is welcoming new development opportunities. This special issue will serve as a window for Chinese technology to enter the world and an important channel for Sino-foreign exchanges.

Subject Coverage
Suitable topics include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Civil Engineering technologies (including Structural engineering, Geotechnical engineering, Geological engineering, Tunnel, subway and underground facilities, Water supply and drainage engineering/heating/gas supply/refrigeration engineering/ventilation, Seismic engineering, Surveying engineering, Construction technique, Computer simulation and CAD/CAE, Urban planning and design, Building materials, Architectural technology)
• Geosynthetics materials (including Application design theory and method of geosynthetics, Performance and testing technology of geosynthetics, Research and development of new geosynthetics products and equipment, Exploration and innovation of geosynthetics technology)
• Application of geosynthetics in other fields (including Application of geosynthetics in road and railway engineering, in water conservancy and water transportation engineering, in environmental protection engineering, in disaster prevention and reduction engineering, and in other fields)

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and if appropriate written permissions have been obtained from any copyright holders of the original paper).

All papers are refereed through a peer review process.
