Abstract/Summary: To collaborate with companies requires the integration of legacy systems of companies based on business process. However, most companies worry about information security, synchronous application invoking, etc. accompanied by system integration. To avoid these problems, this study proposes the milestone model containing events and outputs and designs the framework of the system integration based on the milestone model. In the proposed framework, each company defines the company milestone model which combines phases (major milestones) with steps (minor milestones) hierarchically, includes the timing of milestones, and synchronizes the output of the milestones with that of the legacy systems. The collaborative milestone model is constructed by merging and modifying the company milestone models taking into account the hierarchical level and the role of companies. This study also makes the management scenario of the collaborative projects under the framework of the system integration and implements a prototype integration portal according to the proposed framework to check its feasibility.
