Abstract/Summary: To manage highly detailed information in product design and manufacturing, information systems which support organization/personal-specific tasks are required. However, these kinds of systems are difficult to be developed by traditional methodologies because of lack of human resources and funds. This paper describes a software generator of information systems for supporting end-user tasks. This generator is based on a component-based software framework and domain-specific components, and it converts flow diagrams of task information written by users into software applications. With generated applications, users can store their inputs, system's outputs and related data in databases, as well as retrieving them. Therefore, the proposed software generator enables end-users to make their own information management systems easily.
