Abstract/Summary: This paper aims at studying the current situation of product lifecycle management systems in SME/SMI. The research methodology used for this study is a survey conducted within companies of the Rhone-Alps Region. An analysis of the main results is presented with a particular attention given to the execution of the PLM deployment project and to the usage of PLM systems, from both technical and human aspects. A final section concludes the paper discussing the main findings and identifying some industrial needs.
