Abdelaziz Chazi holds a PhD in Finance with backgrounds in Management and Marketing. Abdelaziz has won several international grants and awards including the Fulbright grant and the University of North Texas award for best PhD dissertation in the College of Business Administration. He has several publications in the area of Finance with special focus on corporate finance, financial markets and institutions, and investments. Chazi serves on the Editorial Board of accounting, business and management journals and as a Reviewer for other academic journals. He has substantial experience teaching in AACSB accredited schools of business and working with international organisations.

Abdul Aziz M. Abu Naba'a is currently an Associate Professor at Al-Zaytoonah University, Jordan and Chairman of Marketing Department (2001–2002). His previous working experiences include Al-Esra University, Yormouk University, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and Saudi American Bank (SAMBA). He obtained his PhD in Business Administration and Honours degree from North Texas State University, USA. Among his achievements are the Award for Best International Research Paper from the International Academy of Business Discipline, USA, ‘Who's who’ amongst students in American Universities and Golden key from SIE at North Texas State University.

Adli Abouzeedan has a PhD in Business Administration from Washington International University, USA and an M Sc in Chemical Engineering from Sweden. Adli is a researcher with keen interest in diverse subjects related to strategic management. His research topics include entrepreneurship theory, firm performance and firm growth, sustainable development and firm management, the role of Small and Medium-sized (SMEs) in the entrepreneurial economy firm internationalisation and born-global enterprises, innovativeness and the entrepreneurial environment of societies, information technology, e-globalisation, and managing organisations and firms in the new economy, internetisation management: theory, techniques and tools and diversity management and multiculturalism in modern organisations. He has already published more than fifty papers, working papers and book chapters. He works as a Consultant through his firm Amana Commercial Consultants, based at Gothenburg, Sweden.

Ahmed Farouk Ghoneim is currently an Associate Professor, Faculty of Economic and Political Science, Cairo University, Egypt. He is a Research Associate at the Economic Research Forum for Arab Countries, Iran and Turkey (ERF). He works as a Consultant to several international organisations including the World Bank and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He holds a PhD in Economics and his special interest in research include mainly trade policy, regional trade integration, the multilateral trading system, the World Trade Organization, and the economics of Intellectual Property Rights. He held different policy oriented positions, among which was an Advisor on foreign trade issues to the Minister of Foreign Trade and Advisor to the Minister of Industry on foreign trade issues and international agreements.

Alamedin A. Bannaga has received his PhD from Manchester University, MSc (Economics) and BSc (Hons) (Economics) from the University of Khartoum. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Sudan Academy for Banking and Financial Studies. He was teaching Development Economics for six years at the University of Gezira (Sudan). His research interest areas are monetary economics, stabilisation and structural adjustment policies, finance and development. During his work in the Gezira (Sudan) and Manchester (UK) Universities, he supervised a large number of research projects. He has a published work in international journals.

Ali Elkamel is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Prior to joining the University of Waterloo, he served at Purdue University, Procter and Gamble, Kuwait University and the University of Wisconsin. His research has focused on the applications of systems engineering and optimisation techniques to planning and scheduling of process operations and to pollution problems and sustainable development.

Ali Hasan Follad obtained his PhD from Napier University, School of Accounting and Economics, Edinburgh, United Kingdom and is currently Advisor of handicrafts. Along with it, he is the Director of Marketing & Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Information in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He is in the process of being transferred to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Industry Affairs as a headed team for productivity and export competitiveness project, and Member of industrial strategy implementation committee. He worked as a Chief of Corporate Planning, Administration & Finance in the Ministry of Transportation, Civil Aviation Affairs and also in different positions in banking and insurance establishments

Doaa Mohamed Salman holds a PhD in International Economics. She earned her BSc (1994), MSc (1999) and PhD (2004) from Ain Shams University, Egypt. She taught at the Department of Economics, October University Modern Science and technology, Egypt. Her present research focuses on developing countries, globalisation, government macroeconomic policies and economic development. She is a Member in the Middle East Economic Association (MEEA).

Elias Hadzilias is a Senior Assistant Professor at the IÉSEG School of Management of the Lille Catholic University. After obtaining his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (1997) and his Doctorate of Engineering (2003) from the National Technical University of Athens in Greece, he assumed his current position in France. He is also the Academic Director of the Master of International Business since 2005 at the IÉSEG School of Management. His research interests are enterprise modelling, virtual enterprises, strategic management, management information systems and e-government. In parallel to his academic activities, he has been involved in consulting projects with private enterprises and public organisations.

Ghanima Al-Sharrah is currently an Assistant Teacher and Laboratory Instructor of Chemical Engineering at Kuwait University. She earned her PhD from Loughborough University and BS and MS degrees from Kuwait University, all in Chemical Engineering. Her research interests include long-range forecasting, hazard indices, and optimisation with applications to the process industry.

Hend Jolo is an Assistant Professor of Human Resources Management of Management and Marketing Department, and serves as the Director of Human Resources Department at Qatar University since 2004. Her main interests include human capital issues in the perspective of human resources, mainly training, education and labour market, and management issues like labour turnover, performance appraisal and recruitment.

Khalid Alrawi is an Associate Professor in Business Administration, and the MBA Programme Director at Al-Ain University of Science And Technology in Al-Ain, the United Arab Emirates. He holds BS Degree in Commerce from Baghdad University, MPhil Degree in Management Science from Oxford – The Middle East Centre and PhD from Strathclyde University, Scotland. He has contributed many articles in many business journals, He worked as the Chief of Group at the “Board of Supreme Audit Libya” in Iraq and served in many different universities in Libya, Jordan, Oman.

Kofi A. Amoateng is Professor of Finance and Chair of the Faculty Senate (2003–2005) at North Carolina Central University, Durham, North Carolina where he teaches Advanced International Finance, Financial Services Risk Management, Principles of Finance, and Capital Markets and Institutions. He received his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986. He has published over 32 refereed papers in journals such as Applied Economics, Applied Economics Letters, Journal of Applied Business Research, Journal of Emerging Markets, Managerial Finance, OPEC Review, Review of Accounting and Finance, Financial Services Review. He is on the Editorial Board of the following journals: Journal of African Business, Journal of Current Research in Global Business, Journal of Global Business, Managerial Finance, and World Review of Science, Technology and Sustainable Development. He is the first Editor of the Faculty Senate Newsletter called ‘the VOICE’.

Marwan N. Al Qur’an is currently an Assistant Professor of Strategy and International Business at the Business Department, Al Yamamah College, Saudi Arabia. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.Sc/B.A) from Applied Science University (ASU), Jordan and a Masters Degree in International Business from the University of Western Sydney, Australia. He obtained his PhD in Management in 2006 from Curtin Business School (CBS) at Curtin University of Technology, Australia. Prior to joining Al Yamamah College, he taught in Australia at Curtin Business School (CBS) and the University of Western Australia Business School. He is the winner of the highly competitive and prestigious “2nd Annual EFMD/Emerald Outstanding Doctoral Research Award” (Emerald/EFMD Highly Commended Award), UK, 2006. He is a Member of the Academy for Global Business Advancement, USA. His research interests include management from an Islamic perspective, corporate and international business strategy, strategic and international management, international and cross-cultural marketing.

Mazin A. M. Al Janabi is Associate Professor of Finance and Banking and has several years of real-world experience in financial markets and banking sectors in addition to academic institutions. He has worked for top international financial groups like ING-Barings (Dutch financial group) and BBVA-Bancomer (Spanish financial group), where he has held several senior positions, such as Head of Trading of Financial Derivative Products, Head of Trading Risk Management, Director of Asset and Liability Management and Director of Global Market Risk Management.

Mohamed M. Mostafa (PhD, University of Manchester, UK) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing at the Gulf University for Science & Technology, Kuwait, having previously been employed as an Assistant Professor at universities in Egypt, Cyprus, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. His research has appeared in several leading academic peer reviewed journals, including Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Promotion Management, International Journal of Consumer Studies, Journal of Management Development, International Journal of Health Care Quality Assurance, Journal of Marketing for Higher Education, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, Cross-Cultural Management, and International Journal of Management. He has also presented numerous papers at professional conferences worldwide.

Mohammed Almossawi is an Assistant Professor at the College of Business Administration, University of Bahrain. He received his PhD in Marketing from the Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK. His research interests include issues related to the cultural dimension of marketing and the effectiveness of advertising. He has published papers in some major marketing journals.

Mohand-Said Oukil is an Algerian currently working as a Visiting Professor of Management at the College of Industrial Management of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia (since 2003). He obtained his PhD degree from Stratchclyde University, UK. Most of his research work focuses on science and technology policy, management of technological innovation, and more recently, on entrepreneurship in general and technology-based entrepreneurship in particular. He is now involved in various teaching, research and authoring activities in these same areas.

Moh'd Ajlouni holds a PhD in Finance from Nottingham University Business School and a Master in Banking & Finance from University of Wales, Bangor. He is a Member of the Institute of Financial Consultants, USA and the Institute of Financial Planners, UK. He has published widely on banking and finance. He has substantial experience of research and teaching. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Department of Banking and Finance at Yarmouk University, Jordan. He has consulted for several leading public and private institutions and banks.

Morrison Handley-Schachler was awarded a DPhil. in Ancient History at Oxford University in 1993 and subsequently worked as a Public Sector Auditor, becoming a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy in 1998. He has been a Lecturer in Accountancy at Napier University since 2000 and has published articles, either jointly or as a sole author, on religious and accounting history, public sector risk management and foreign direct investment in emerging markets.

Mosad Zineldin is Professor of Strategic Relationship Management, served as a Chairman of the Marketing Department at the School of Management and Economics, Växjö University, Sweden. He taught at the School of Business, Stockholm University for many years. His latest book TRM: Total Relationship Management, (2000) is the first book in the world to outline the framework of relationship management from a holistic totality and multifunctional perspective. His articles have appeared in European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Bank Marketing for the financial service sector, Supply Chain Management, Journal of Marketing Intelligence & Planning, Management Decision Journal, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, Journal of Consumer Marketing, European Business Review, Managerial Auditing Journal, TQM Magazine and Journal of Health Care Quality Assurance. Some of his articles have been cited with the highest quality rating by ANBAR Electronic Intelligence and others positioned in the top 10 list by Emerald's readers and reviewers.

Nassr Ahmad was awarded a PhD in Accounting at Napier University, Edinburgh, in 2004, after which he was a Lecturer in Accountancy at Al-Gabel Al-Gharbi University in Gahrian, Libya, until 2007, when he took up his present post in the Academy of Graduate Studies in Tripoli. He has conducted extensive research in social and environmental reporting and has published articles on Accounting Education and Corporate Social Reporting in Libya.

Saad Ghalib Yassin has a PhD in Management Information Systems. He is Associate Professor and Head of the MIS Department in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan. He had conducted over 35 specialised studies in many fields such as IT, IS, e-management, and knowledge management. He is a renowned expert in the management of IT projects and a professional academician in the Middle East.

Salaheldin Ismail is the Chair of Department of Management & Marketing at the College of Business & Economics at Qatar University. He has an MSc degree in Commerce from the College of Commerce at Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt. He received a PhD in Operations Management from Glasgow Business School at Glasgow University, UK. His publications have appeared in highly respected journals such as International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Journal of Industrial Management & Data Systems, The Journal of Business in Developing Nations, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, and The TQM Magazine.

Yagoub Ali Gangi is Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Management Studies, University of Khartoum, Sudan, where he teaches Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Managerial Economics. He is also a Consultant for the World Bank, based on the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, Sudan. He received his PhD from Manchester Metropolitan University. His main field of interest is foreign direct investment and macroeconomics issues, inflation, unemployment, balance of payments and foreign exchange rates.
