67 - 78 | The Third-party Logistics (3PL) service industry sector has been growing very rapidly. To meet the ever rising shippers' expectations, shipping firms seek to expand the scope of their logistics services through vertical integration to increase their ability to satisfy the evolving service needs of their customers. In doing so, many shipping firms are seeking to broaden their shipping operations and develop a new name for the logistics arms close to their core container shipping services.
