This special issue will focus on intelligence in teaching/learning support environments and functionality from the viewpoint of promoting and encouraging human activities. Our IT-based environment provides various kinds of computing and networking systems, and it has become clear that their roles and effects are too complex and diverse in terms of information sharing, knowledge exchange, virtual communication/discussion, etc. for effective evaluation.
From a viewpoint of promoting the learning process effectively it is important to observe the learning situation from the actions and reactions of individual learners step by step, and to instruct them by using appropriate teaching resources or functional learning tools. Well-defined or well-formed environments for teaching and learning play important roles in making the teaching and learning process effective.
Subject CoverageSuitable topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Intelligent tutoring systems
- E-learning
- Skill management
- Strategic contents composition
- Interoperability in teaching and learning
- Data mining for instructing learners smartly
- Innovation-specific teaching strategies
