International Journal of Business and Globalisation
Special Issue on: "Disruption as a Driver of Change"
Guest Editors:
Prof. Stuart Orr, Deakin University, Australia
Dr. Paul Hunter, smiknowledge, Australia
Prof. Mike Donnelly, Heriot Watt University, UK
The special issue will bring together empirical evidence and different theoretical perspectives on organisational responses to disruption. The objective is to accumulate a body of evidence indicating how disruption is incorporated into normal business practices. It will begin the process of developing theories of disruption which describe the responses to the environment in which many organisations and economies operate.
The issue will carry revised and substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at SECID Conference 2017, but we also strongly encourage researchers unable to participate in the conference to submit articles for this call.
Subject CoverageSuitable topics include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Strategic responses to disruptive environments
- Managing human resources in disruptive environments
- Public-sector responses to disruption
- Adapting business systems to disruption
- Theoretical perspectives on responses to disruption
- Responding to disruption in a humanitarian environment
- Disruption as a necessary component of the evolution of economies
- Disruption and society
