International Journal of Metaheuristics
Special Issue on: "Randomised Heuristics for Communication Networks"
Guest Editor:
Dr. Pablo Romero, Universidad de la República, Uruguay
The goal is to achieve a major understanding in hard combinatorial problems in Communication Networks. Potential contributions should clearly state the problem, main challenges and methodology. The authors should emphasise the effect of randomisation in their analysis. Greedy randomised heuristics, population-based heuristics, nature-inspired solutions, random algorithms and approximation algorithms are especially welcome.
Subject CoverageSuitable topics include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Fibre optics communication
- Wireless systems
- Traffic engineering
- Topological network design
- Communication protocols
- Resilience in software-defined networking
- Network reliability
- Performance evaluation of resilient networks
- Robust network design for hostile environments
- Cooperative systems
- Content delivery networks
