Abstract: Global trend has turned out customers to seek for diverse range of application-based products conferring to their prerequisites. This paper emphasis the supplier selection process in the pump manufacturing industry by adopting zero inventory concept. Major factors such as cost of delivery, capacities, quality, price, stand-alone suppliers, reliability and suppliers profile etc. are the fundamental parameters in the supplier selection process which tends to have a major influence on product delivery and complete satisfaction of the customer. Multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) technique and best-worst method (BWM) are utilised to avoid ambiguity in supplier selection and improve the on-time receipt (OTR). A novel methodology was developed to analyses supplier selection process and the developed methodology has been validated through a case study.
