Sustainable public value: a step towards green public organisation for a sustainable society

Abstract: The development of a sustainable society is the major concern for today's world. Researchers and practitioner from all over the world try to address the environmental challenges to develop the sustainable society. Public organisations are considered as good custodians of energy and environmental resources consumed in their day-to-day operations. Most of the public organisations have affirmed their policies to alleviate the environmental impact of their operations. These green public organisations played an important role to develop sustainable societies. This sustainable development emerged through green public organisation and these green public organisations established by following sustainable public value practices in the organisation. This study collected data from 320 local government officers of Pakistan and used the smart PLS to statistically analyse the data. Results revealed that the Sustainable public organisation can strengthen society and create public value.
