Abstract: Fault-tolerant control systems have received considerable interest in academic researches area. This paper presents an efficient fault-tolerant control of additive voltage measurement faults (AVMFs) of a controlled doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) driven wind energy conversion system (WECS). First, the nonlinear model of a DFIG is transformed into an equivalent Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model by using the sector nonlinear approach (SNA). Then, based on the obtained model of the generator, a new FTC strategy is proposed in order to ensure the nominal performances and stability of the plant while the occurrence of AVMFs and noisy outputs (NOs). Furthermore, the proposed FTC strategy is combined of a fuzzy proportional integral observer, nominal and faulty system. In addition, the stability of the closed-loop system is demonstrated by means of Lyapunov analyses which are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to prove the stability of the whole closed-loop system and to reduce the actuator faults effects and noisy outputs attenuation. Finally, simulation has been performed in MATLAB/Simulink environment to highlight the designed FTC strategy performances and robustness with respect to AVMFs occurrence.
