Abstract: This paper presents an original model of exergy analysis of an adsorption refrigeration machine, connected with irreversible processes of heat and mass transfer during the functioning stages. The difficulty of such approach is related to the non-stationary character of the thermodynamic processes. Thus, the highest destruction of exergy appears in the adsorption and desorption processes due to the heat transfer-mass transfer double irreversibility. A study of parametric sensibility reveals antagonistic tendencies of variation of the coefficient of performance and of the exergy efficiency of the system with increased temperature of the low external heat source and high external heat source.
