Abstract: This study aimed at assessing the remedies to copyright infringement in the audio-visual industry in Zimbabwe. Through purposive sampling a sample of contents producers, contents intermediaries, contents users, enforcement agents and copyright administrators was selected. Data was collected using questionnaires. Out of a sample of 512 respondents only 137 returned the questionnaires. Each of the remedy was rated by more than 100 respondents of 137 showing an overwhelming support for those remedies. However, the respondents deplored that although there are laws and policies that protect intellectual property in general and copyright in particular, in Zimbabwe, the enforcement of these laws and policies has been problematic as national institutions lack resources and the onus is on artists to protect their own copyright. This study recommends the implementation of administrative, legal and technological measures but also the education of content creators, content intermediaries and content users.
