Abstract: In this work, the effect of drilling parameters with a point angle of 140°, on AlSi6Cu3 cast alloy using a CNC milling machine was investigated. Characteristics of alloy like hardness, S-Das value, X-ray characterisation were made. The process parameters feed and spindle feed set at various levels and their combinations were explored for multi-objective optimisation of responses like surface roughness, circularity, burr size, and thrust force. Orthogonal array, grey relation analysis, and ANOVA were used for the improvement of the multi-factor issues and found extremely helpful tool for foreseeing the responses in the drilling process. It was revealed that cutting speed and feed rate are prominent factors which affect the drilling of AlSi6Cu3. It was found that the cutting speed influences by 76.8%, followed by the feed rate by 23.69%. The best performance characteristics were obtained with the feed 1.52 mm/rev and speed 1.35 m/min.
