Abstract: This study was intended to empirically investigate the nexus of green intellectual capital, value creation and sustainable competitive advantage. This study highlights the importance of green intangible resources to overcome environmental issues by enhancing cleaner production processes to create value for the organisation and lead the organisation towards a sustainable competitive advantage. Based on a quantitative method, 219 samples were collected from the managerial staff of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry by using a purposive sampling technique. PLS-SEM was applied to test the hypotheses. The results reveal that green intellectual capital has a significant impact on sustainable competitive advantage directly and indirectly through value creation. This study also illustrates several implications for practitioners, by highlighting the value creation path for achieving sustainable competitive advantage.
