Abstract: Radiometry techniques were applied to evaluate the activity and concentration values of 238U, 232Th and 40K in four types of Egyptian made fertilisers. Also, radon and thoron concentration values were estimated for the same samples. The Hyper-Pure Germanium Detection System (HPGeDS) installed at the hot laboratories of Inchas, Cairo, and the Solid State Nuclear Track Detection System (SSNTDS) facility of the Girls' College were used for measurements. A comparative study on the concentration values obtained in this work for the four fertiliser samples is presented.
